Was looking to find a dry place to visit on a drab rainy bank holiday Monday and heard ‘Stray Fm’ talk about 1/2 price deals which I booked online and headed to the caverns.
Lovely staff and welcome and def worth a visit, you def need to wear a safety helmet (supplied) quite steep in places and may have to bend down quite a bit to get under some lower ceilings of rocks but not too bad, My children 10 and 12 did the quiz to find fairy doors and both ended up with a lovely present at the end.
We had a chat with ‘Ollie’ who gave my children their gifts and told us his family took over in 2003. His mum Lisa cooked us a lovely lunch ( she’s the chef) I had scampi chips and kids chicken Guojons and chips , washed down with a lovely cup of tea.
Very reasonably priced and food was served up quick and hot!
The gift shop has lots of presents and children priced pressies to keep everyone happy.
I will be back even if it’s just to have a pit stop snack and drink when out riding and will be taking our friends from London their next time they come up.
